About Olivera Simić

A Voice for Justice, Memory, and Post-War Truth

Olivera Simić is a Professor at Griffith Law School, Australia, and an internationally recognized scholar in international law and transitional justice. Having lived through the Yugoslav wars, her work is deeply rooted in lived experience and global research. Through extensive interviews with survivors, perpetrators, and witnesses, she explores themes of justice, trauma, and resilience. Her research focuses particularly on the voices of women affected by conflict, bringing attention to stories often left unheard. Today, she continues to educate, write, and advocate from Brisbane, Australia.
